The two primary interclub competitions that the Mapleton Bowls Club take part in are District Pennants and the Hinterland Challenge Cup. Internal competitions include Class A, B and C Singles, Novice and Pairs. Additionally we have special competition days such as the Fireman's day or the President's day.
Social bowls for club members are held on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons. Roll ups and coaching are available on Friday afternoons (please check green is available first).
Scroungers
Scroungers: Thursdays from the 30th March. 1.00pm for 1.30pm start. 18 ends. $14 fee. Players must have their names on the game sheet by 1.00pm. A great social game.
The main competition between our local bowls clubs is Pennant. Pennant is organised by Queensland Bowls. The idea of Pennant is to allow all skill levels of bowlers to play a regular competitive bowls match against players who are roughly of their standard. Promotion and demotion occurs at the end of each season.
This is a competition for Sunshine Coast Hinterland Clubs (Gympie, Kenilworth to the Glasshouse Mountains). The competition is sponsored by Bowlers’ Paradise and is played between February and March.
Save the date: Sunday 7th May 1pm - 4pm , for the Hinterland Challenge Presentations. These great prizes have been sponsored by: Just Scrap Metal, SUPPORT2U and the Bowls Shop Yandina. All clubs that participated will be represented.
