The Mapleton Bowls Club has been in existence for over 75 years. Whether it is mens' or ladies', pennants, social or bare-foot bowls, there is always a welcome at the Mapleton Bowls Club. Our club has secured a deserved reputation for the quality of our turf green. The green has 8 rinks and our club has a large function room and a fully licensed bar. The club has hosted competition and friendly matches and welcomed many visiting teams.

New players, experienced or novices alike, are welcome to join. Benefits available for a very reasonable membership fee include both tuition and borrowed bowls.

We offer a fantastic country style venue with views to the coast to enjoy the game. We look forward to welcoming you to our club.

Reasons to Join

Playing lawn bowls is very 'doable'. Whatever your fitness or ability, bowls is a sport for everyone. Bowls can help improve your both your fitness and mental well-being.

Lawn bowls does not need to be expensive. To start you do not require expensive kit. 'Barefoot' bowls is an opportunity to try out the sport with friends. We run barefoot bowls on Friday afternoons from 3pm. (Contact us first to ensure the green is available). Compared to most sports, age and gender differences have less of an effect on a game of bowls, so it’s a perfect sport to spend time and enjoy a bit of friendly competition with all your family and friends. Our lawn bowls club is a sociable place. So joining the Mapleton Bowls Club is a great way to relax, make new friends and feel part of our local community.
